Ewa Domańska (born November 7, 1963) is a Polish historian and theorist specializing in historiography, methodology of history, and comparative humanities. She is a full professor at the Faculty of History, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland, and a visiting professor at Stanford University. Her research focuses on non-anthropocentric approaches to history, environmental humanities, and the philosophy of history.
Academic Career
Domańska earned her Ph.D. in historiography from Adam Mickiewicz University in 1995. She later obtained her habilitation in 2007 and was awarded the title of Professor of Human Sciences in 2016. She has held various academic positions, including:
- Full Professor, Faculty of History, Adam Mickiewicz University (since 2018).
- Visiting Professor, Stanford University (since 2002).
