Reception
The film has received positive reviews. Jim Morazzini, reviewing the film for Voices from the Balcony, gave it two and a half out of five stars.{{Cite web|url=https://www.voicesfromthebalcony.com/2024/05/31/fyre-rises-2024-review/|first=Jim |last=Morazzini |title=Fyre Rises (2024) Review|website=Voices from the balcony|language=en-GB |date=31 May 2024 |access-date=23 December 2024}}Morazzini stated that the film ‘Despite the overly familiar plot, Fyre Rises’ opening doesn’t look like a typical action film. Priest is a flamboyant Joker like entity with a painted face and a tendency to torture his enemies to the accompaniment of strobe lights and dancers. This gives Fyre Rises an odd sort of hybrid feel.’ Morazzini criticised that the film takes its time about getting down to business. Richard Fyre is less a man of action than a pathetic figure who spends ninety percent of the film feeling sorry for himself while everyone around him suffers as a result. In contrast, a reviewer for Blazing Minds Simon Henderson stated that ‘the story was quite an intriguing one, kind of a mix of other stories but with enough unique points that it stands out for me. The most important aspect of the story is what happened for me at the end. As the film was finishing I sat there and said to myself... 'I need a sequel, asap!'.{{Cite web|url=https://blazingminds.co.uk/fyre-rises-review-an-intriguing-story|first=Simon |last=Henderson |title=Fyre Rises review an intriguing story/|website=Blazing Minds|language=en-GB |date=3 December 2024 |access-date=3 December 2024}} In his review of the film, which he gave four stars, Ben Read of The Hollywood News stated that in an age where the industry has predominantly become monopolised with franchises and genre features, British cinema appears worryingly frail and delicate. With purse strings being tightened across the board and an art form still recovering from the pandemic, the beauty of independent productions is far harder to come by. Fortunately, the gods of film have given us an early Christmas present in the form of Fyre Rises.{{Cite web|url=https://www.thehollywoodnews.com/2024/12/30/fyre-rises-digital-review |first=Ben|last=Read|title=Fyre Rises digital review
