"Jåo nåo e ja jåo YOLO ja nåo" (Vörå dialect: "Yes, I am YOLO indeed") is a song by the Finland-Swedish music and comedy group KAJ. The song, released in 2014, is about a 50-year-old man from Pensala who wants to feel young and wild again, and led to KAJ's breakthrough in the Swedish-speaking parts of Finland.{{Cite news |date=16 June 2016 |title=Humorn är grunden – dialekten skatten för KAJ|url=https://sprakbruk.fi/intervju/humorn-ar-grunden-dialekten-ar-skatten-for-kaj/ |first=Bianca |last=Holmberg |trans-title=Humour is the foundation – dialect the treasure for KAJ. |access-date=13 April 2025 |work=Yle |language=sv}} As of April 2025, the music video has been viewed almost two million times on YouTube.{{cite video |title=KAJ - Jåo nåo e ja jåo YOLO ja nåo |url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0UPv4Bh0bxk |publisher=KAJfilmer on Youtube|date=12 July 2014 |access-date=13 April 2025}}
Music video
The music video features Jakob Norrgård narrating the story of a 50-year-old man from the village of Pensala (played by Kevin Holmström) who wants to feel young and wild again. After putting his children to bed, the man lies to his wife (also played by Norrgård) about having an important business meeting that might take the whole night, before taking a taxi to a night club.
Once at the club, the man flirts with a young woman named Daisy (played by Axel Åhman), buying her drinks and dancing with her. However, the man soon realizes that Daisy's the daughter of his friends Tom and Gunilla, and is mortified by the realization. A bouncer (also played by Åhman) approaches the man and asks him to leave the club due to his embarrassing behavior, which the man objects to, running away from the bouncer and stealing the DJ's microphone.
After doing so, the man preaches to the club about his wild youth drinking moonshine at parties and how knowing how to do manual labor was seen as "cool" when he was young, before going home.
The next morning, the man's wife brings him a cup of coffee and informs him that she's invited Tom and Gunilla to come visit. The music video ends with the man saying "Neee, ne itt ere väl lege för he…" ("No, now's not a good time for that...").
Background
The concept from the song comes from a Vörå dialect tongue-twister from the opening night performance of KAJ's stage show Pjäs eller pjas: "Vad sa den 50-åriga Pensalbon som ännu kände sig ung och crazy? Jåo nåo e ja jåo YOLO ja nåo!" ("What did the 50-year-old Pensala resident who still felt young and crazy say? Yes, I am YOLO indeed!"). The members of KAJ thought that the tongue twister sounded like a techno song, and developed the song from there together with producer {{ill|Janne Hyöty|sv}}.{{Cite news |date=13 July 2014 |title=Jåo nåo e ja jåo YOLO ja nåo|url=https://yle.fi/a/7-811496|first=Nicke |last=Aldén |access-date=13 April 2025 |work=Yle |language=sv}}
