Levi Glenn McCathern, II is an American litigation lawyer. He is founder and partner at McCathern Shokouhi Evans.

McCathern specializes in high-profile problem solving litigation. Though he is best known for his work with the Dallas Cowboys and the NFL, he has represented many high-profile clients from the sports and entertainment worlds, major corporations, and many other arenas.

Early life and education

McCathern was born in Perryton, a town in the Texas panhandle, and grew up in Snyder, Texas.

He earned his BA from Baylor University in 1990, graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and his law degree from the same institution in 1993. He was licensed to practice law in Texas in 1993 and became an associate with the firm Godwin & Carlton, P.C. that year. Within five years he became the firm's youngest-ever shareholder.

In 2023, he represented NFL Network analyst and former Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin when Irvin was accused of sexual misconduct. In 2024 McCathern represented Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott in filing an extortion lawsuit in response to false sexual assault claims. Extracurricular activities
