Marc Tedeschi (born May 28, 1956) is an American martial arts master, designer, photographer, educator, and writer. Life and education

Tedeschi was born in Flemington, New Jersey, and graduated from Hunterdon Central Regional High School in 1974.{{cite web|url= https://hunterdoncentralhighschool.org/class-of-1974.html|title=Hunterdon Central - Class of 1974|website=hunterdoncentralhighschool.org|accessdate=1 May 2025}} He holds an AAS degree in Photography from the Rochester Institute of Technology (1976){{cite web |author= |date=1976 |title=RIT Yearbook 1976 |url=https://www.rit.edu/alumni/DrupalFiles/yearbook/pdfs/1976.pdf |website=rit.edu |location=Rochester |publisher=Rochester Institute of Technology |page=148 |access-date=2 May 2025}} and a BFA degree in Design from the Kansas City Art Institute (1981), and formerly taught design at the Academy of Art University and the University of San Francisco, from 1988 to 1997.

Tedeschi began his professional arts career in 1973 as a freelance photographer for The New York Times and other smaller publications, and later was a designer with various firms, most notably HNTB Architects in Kansas City (1980–1981) and Landor Associates in San Francisco (1982–1986, and intermittently 1995–1997).

Tedeschi began studying martial arts in 1974 under Joseph Jennings, a prominent Isshin-ryū Karate practitioner, while he was a student at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He moved to San Francisco in 1981, where he later trained extensively in Hapkido, Taekwondo, Jujutsu, and Judo.
