Life and education
Markus Enzweiler studied computer science at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences and at Ulm University, including a study abroad period at the Centre for Vision Research at York University in Toronto, Canada. His academic focus was on computer vision and artificial intelligence. He was a scholarship holder of the German Academic Exchange Service and completed his studies in 2005 with a Master's degree. From 2010 to 2021, he worked at Mercedes-Benz AG in the development of advanced driver assistance systems and automated driving. During this time, his main focus was on sensor-based environment perception using machine learning.
In 2021, Markus Enzweiler has been appointed as a professor for autonomous systems in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Esslingen University of Applied Sciences.
