Sarika Rao was born on September 10, 1995, in Mysuru, Karnataka, India. She developed an early interest in acting and performing arts. She pursued training in theater, dance (Salsa, Ballet), and modeling before entering the film industry.

Sarika Rao made her debut in the Kannada film industry in 2018, gradually gaining recognition for her performances in various films and web series.

Her most notable role came in Sahara (2024), a sports drama about women’s cricket. She played the lead role, portraying a female cricketer.
