Warrick Cleine MBE is a New Zealand business and political leader and Asia based academic.
Early Life and Education
Warrick Cleine was born on New Zealand's West Coast and grew up on a dairy farm while attending Buller High School in Westport. In May 2023, ahead of the general election on 14 October 2023, Cleine was reported to be in discussions with Labour leadership as a potential candidate. Following Jacinda Ardern's resignation as Prime Minister in January 2023 and Labour's declining polls, the party sought experienced figures for its list. Cleine resides in Ho Chi Minh City. His brother, Jamie Cleine, is the Mayor of Buller District.
