A.J. Hansell is not included in List of American Civil War generals (Confederate). I asked at its Talk page and got helpful replies, in [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk%3AList_of_American_Civil_War_generals_%28Confederate%29&type=revision&diff=998516483&oldid=862925711 this thread].

Bottom line: he was called General, but was not one; it has been stated he was part of the Confederate army, but was not. --Doncram (talk) 19:40, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
