On June 13, 2011 an ash cloud that had some influence on air travel was attributed to Dubbi.{{cite news|url=https://www.reuters.com/article/eritrea-volcano-idUSLDE75C1H320110613 |title=Eritrean volcanic ash cloud threatens air travel |publisher=Reuters |date=2011-06-13}} However, more accurate satellite imagery later showed that Nabro was the volcano that had erupted.Blog articles: [http://volcanism.wordpress.com/2011/06/13/eritrea-eruption-update-nabro-volcano-erupts/ "Eritrea eruption update: Nabro volcano erupts (updated)"], [http://www.volcano-blog.com/1/post/2011/06/update-eruption-of-nabro-in-ertitrea-not-dubbi.html "Update: Eruption of Nabro in Ertitrea (not Dubbi!)"]
