The Eagle EA-100 is an American light-sport aircraft that was designed and produced by Eagle Aviation LLC of Oshkosh, Wisconsin and introduced in 2008. When it was available the aircraft was supplied as a complete ready-to-fly-aircraft.Bayerl, Robby; Martin Berkemeier; et al: World Directory of Leisure Aviation 2011-12, page 42. The company website expired in March 2013 and was not renewed. It is likely that the company is out of business and production has ended.{{Cite web|url=http://eaglesportplane.com/|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20130501013854/http://eaglesportplane.com/|url-status=dead|archive-date=May 1, 2013|title=eaglesportplane.com|date=May 1, 2013}}
Design and development
The EA-100 was designed to comply with the US light-sport aircraft rules. It features a strut-braced high-wing, a two-seats-in-side-by-side configuration enclosed cockpit accessed by two vertical-hinged doors, fixed tricycle landing gear and a single engine in tractor configuration.{{cite web|url = http://www.sportpilot.org/learn/slsa/|title = EAA's Listing of Special Light-Sport Aircraft|accessdate = 1 June 2012|last = Experimental Aircraft Association|date = 2012|archive-url = https://web.archive.org/web/20140228070151/http://sportpilot.org/learn/slsa|archive-date = 28 February 2014|url-status = dead}}
The aircraft is made from aluminum sheet. Its {{convert|28.5|ft|m|1|abbr=on}} span wing has an area of {{convert|135|sqft|m2|abbr=on}} and features electrically operated flaps. The standard engine is the {{convert|100|hp|kW|0|abbr=on}} Rotax 912ULS four-stroke powerplant while the standard propeller is a Sensenich composite ground adjustable type.{{cite web|url=http://eaglesportplane.com/ea100slsa.asp |title=Sport Aircraft for the Sport Pilot |publisher=Eaglesportplane.com |date= |accessdate=2012-06-08}}
