Ed Maley was a 9th dan judoka from the United States. He was featured in Black Belt Magazine multiple times.

Judo career

Maley was born in Brooklyn, New York City.{{cite web|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=0tIDAAAAMBAJ&dq=ed+maley+judo&pg=PA52|title=Black Belt|work=google.com|date=July 1980}} He was inducted into the Black Belt Magazine Hall of Fame in 1980. Ed Maley taught judo for 65 years,{{cite web|url=http://tbo.com/brandon/five-questions-with-ed-maley-judo-instructor-20130911/|title=Five questions with Ed Maley, judo instructor|date=11 September 2013|work=TBO.com}} starting judo as a teenager in New York city and continuing while in the Air Force.
