Edge Wireless's network, currently owned by AT&T, is a 1900 MHz (PCS) GSM network. The company partnered with AT&T Mobility so users of either service could roam onto the other's network.

The acquisition by AT&T was completed in April 2008.{{Cite news|url = http://www.bizjournals.com/sanantonio/stories/2008/04/14/daily37.html|title = AT&T completes buy out of Edge Wireless|date = April 18, 2008|work = San Antonio Business Journal|access-date = November 3, 2014|archive-url = https://web.archive.org/web/20081231062321/http://www.bizjournals.com/sanantonio/stories/2008/04/14/daily37.html|archive-date = December 31, 2008|url-status = live}}
