In addition to lawmaking, House of Assembly collaborates closely with the executive branch to support state development initiatives.
Currently, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) holds a majority in the Assembly with 15 seats. The All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Labour Party (LP) are in the minority with APC having 8 seats and LP have 1 seat.
