Edward Petka

Edward F. Petka (born March 10, 1943, Chicago, Illinois) is an American politician who served as a member of the Illinois General Assembly from 1987 until 2006.

In 2006, Edward Petka opted to run for a judgeship on the 12th Circuit Court instead of running for reelection to the Illinois Senate. After the election, Edward Petka resigned effective December 4, 2006, to assume the judgeship and his wife Phyllis Petka was appointed to fill the vacancy.
