West Macquarie was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of New South Wales between 1859 and 1904, in the Bathurst region, named after the Macquarie River, being the western side of the river to the south of the town of Bathurst. It was abolished in 1904 due to the re-distribution of electorates following the 1903 New South Wales referendum, which required the number of members of the Legislative Assembly to be reduced from 125 to 90.{{cite web |url=http://www.atlas.nsw.gov.au/public/nsw/home/topic/article/1904-redistribution.html |title=1904 Redistribution |work=Atlas of New South Wales |publisher=NSW Land & Property Information |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20150623031821/http://www.atlas.nsw.gov.au/public/nsw/home/topic/article/1904-redistribution.html |archive-date=23 June 2015 |url-status=dead}} It was largely replaced by the new district of Blayney, which also absorbed parts of Hartley and The Macquarie. The rest of the district was absorbed by Yass.{{NSW Parliamentary Record |part=5B |access-date=2020-11-03}}{{cite web|url=https://www.parliament.nsw.gov.au/members/formermembers/pages/former-members-index.aspx |title=Former members of the Parliament of New South Wales|publisher=Parliament of New South Wales |access-date=2020-11-03}}{{Cite NSW election |year=DistrictIndexes |district=Macquarie West |title=Elections for the District of West Macquarie |access-date=2020-11-03}}
