Eling is known for the Eling Tide Mill, one of only two remaining operating tide mills in the United Kingdom. Whilst a mill at Eling is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086, there is no evidence that there is any connection to the present mill, which was rebuilt roughly two hundred years ago after storm damage in the 1770s.{{cite web |title=Eling Tide Mill History |url=http://www.elingtidemill.wanadoo.co.uk/hist.html |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20071117040916/http://www.elingtidemill.wanadoo.co.uk/hist.html |archive-date=2007-11-17 |access-date=2012-01-19}}
Eling has a toll bridge across a bridge which originally formed as a causeway across a dam built to create a mill pond.{{Cite web |title=Eling Toll Bridge New Charges |url=https://www.tottoneling-tc.gov.uk/traffic/eling-toll-bridge-new-charges/ |access-date=2025-04-19 |website=www.tottoneling-tc.gov.uk |language=en}}{{Cite web |date=2010-12-24 |title=Eling Toll Bridge Charges – Councillor David Harrison |url=https://www.dharrison.org.uk/eling-toll-bridge-charges/ |access-date=2025-04-19 |language=en-US}}
