He has a studio in the Pietrasanta, Italy, and one in Malibu. He was the subject of a documentary by Gina Minervini called "Through the Eyes of the Sculptor."

Early life and family

Fillion was born in Soissons, France in 1966.{{cite web|title=Searching for perfection in marble|url=http://www.malibutimes.com/life_and_arts/article_aa99e0e2-bcff-5ba1-ada7-97c4478180d6.html/|publisher=The Malibu Times|accessdate=January 9, 2018}} He started sculpting at the age of 15 as an apprentice renovating historical monuments in France.
