Adults are on wing from June to August. The polyphagous larvae feed on lower herbaceous plants and shrubs, mainly on Alchemilla vulgaris, Fagus sylvatica, Fragaria vesca, Juniperus communis, Lonicera xylosteum, Rubus fruticosus. Sedum album, Saxifraga, Vaccinium myrtillus, Salix and Geranium species.Paolo Mazzei, Daniel Morel, Raniero Panfili [https://www.leps.it/indexjs.htm?SpeciesPages/EntepInfid.htm Moths and Butterflies of Europe and North Africa][https://oreina.org/artemisiae/observatoire/index.php?module=fiche&action=fiche&d=hetero&id=248703 Oreina.org] {{in lang|fr}}
