The Police arrested the suspected mastermind behind the death of Enzo Pastor. Businessman Domingo de Guzman III was arrested on August 26, 2014 in Muntinlupa and was taken into custody at Camp Karingal. Earlier on August 23, suspect and policeman Edgar Angel was arrested and admitted that he was hired by de Guzman to kill Pastor.
"Love triangle" is being viewed as a possible motive for the killing. De Guzman allegedly had relations with Enzo Pastor's wife, Dalia Guerrero Pastor. Enzo Pastor's widow was also tagged as a suspect by the police.{{Cite web|url=http://www.spin.ph/motorsports/news/two-suspects-in-murder-of-race-car-driver-enzo-pastor-arrested-by-police-racing-motorsports-murder-crime-race-car-champion-nascar|title=Businessman, Pasay City cop arrested for slaying of race car driver Enzo Pastor}}{{Cite web|url=http://www.spin.ph/motorsports/news/wife-of-slain-racing-champion-enzo-pastor-among-supects-behind-his-killing-dahlia-guerrero-pastor-enzo-pastor-tom-pastor-sandy-de-guzman-edgar-angel-police-investigation-crime-pnp-motorsports-racing-race-car-crime|title=In shocking twist, police link Enzo Pastor's wife to slaying of car racing champion}}{{Cite web|url=http://www.gmanetwork.com/news/story/376609/news/metromanila/authorities-looking-for-enzo-pastor-s-wife-tags-her-as-suspect|title=Authorities looking for Enzo Pastor's wife, tags her as suspect|date=August 27, 2014 }} In 2024, the Supreme Court upheld the finding of probable Cause and revived the arrest warrant against Dahlia.{{cite news |last1= Punzalan|first1= Jamaine |title=After SC revives Enzo Pastor slay case, parents seek his widow's arrest|url= https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/10/4/-time-to-act-after-sc-revives-enzo-pastor-slay-case-parents-ask-gov-t-to-arrest-his-widow-918|accessdate=October 5, 2024 |work=ABS-CBN |date=October 4, 2024}}{{efn |Decision in G.R.
