Erica Baum (born 1961) is an American photographer who lives and works in New York City. Early life and education

Baum was born in New York City in 1961.

She received a BA in anthropology from Barnard College in 1984. She also received an MA in TESOL/applied linguistics from Hunter College in 1988, and an MFA in photography from Yale University in 1994.{{citation needed|date=May 2021}}

Work

Baum's work is characterized by a cropped, close-up style that captures the material details of subjects, ranging from chalkboards to library card catalogues, book pages and newspaper.
