Erkel is a 1952 Hungarian historical drama film directed by Márton Keleti and starring Sándor Pécsi, Éva Szörényi and Miklós Gábor.Balski p.154 It is based on the life of the nineteenth century Hungarian composer Ferenc Erkel.Mitchell p.118 It was shot at the Hunnia Studios in Budapest. The film's sets were designed by the art director Zoltán Fábri. It was screened at the 1952 Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
