Edward Sealy Nicholson (10 June 1912 – 16 March 1992), known as Ernie{{cite web|url=http://en.espn.co.uk/england/rugby/player/4252.html|title=Ernie Nicholson|publisher=ESPNscrum|accessdate=6 December 2017}} was a rugby union hooker who played 5 times for {{nrut|England}} in 1935 and 1936. He played his club rugby for Leicester Tigers and Oxford University.

He made his debut on 19 January 1935 against {{nrut|Wales}} at Twickenham in a 3–3 draw.{{cite web|url=http://en.espn.co.uk/statsguru/rugby/match/19496.html|title=England 3 - 3 Wales (FT)|publisher=ESPNscrum|accessdate=6 December 2017}} Nicholson featured in all three games of the 1935 Home Nations Championship, also featuring as England beat {{nrut|Ireland}} and lost to {{nrut|Scotland}}.

Nicholson played 8 games for Leicester Tigers in the 1935–36 season.
