Critical reception
Critical appraisal of the album, though limited, has been positive. One reviewer commented, "The Warning is a band on the warpath, spearheading an album with so much lyrical and musical energy. Their sound has a mix of well-tuned guitar parts which are electrifying and atmospheric, and on their album Error, the trio become titans of their art".{{Cite web |last=McConville |first=Mark |date=2022-06-26 |title=The Warning - Error {{!}} Album Review |url=https://www.thereviewgeek.com/thewarning-error-albumreview/ |access-date=2022-07-07 |website=The Review Geek |language=en-GB |archive-date=2022-07-07 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20220707152007/https://www.thereviewgeek.com/thewarning-error-albumreview/ |url-status=live }} Alternative Press called the album "a rock radio-ready beast".{{Cite web |last=Olivier |first=Bobby |date=2022-08-31 |title=How the Warning, hard rock's hottest new band, morphed from viral covers to hell-raising shreds |url=https://www.altpress.com/the-warning-error-interview/ |access-date=2022-12-13 |website=Alternative Press Magazine |language=en}} Loudwire included the album in its list of the 50 best rock and metal albums of 2022.{{Cite web |last= |title=The 50 Best Rock + Metal Albums of 2022 |url=https://loudwire.com/best-rock-metal-albums-2022/ |access-date=2022-11-21 |website=Loudwire |date=21 November 2022 |language=en}}
