The genus Erythronium: 1-158. Kew Publishing, Kew.[https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/page/3054061#page/502/mode/1up Watson, Sereno. 1887. Proceedings of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences 22(2): 480] It is listed as vulnerable for the following reasons: "Range is Del Norte Co., Calif., and adjacent southern Oregon. Most of the populations occur in Oregon, a few in California. Oregon sites number <38. Populations are not large, many reported during pre-timber harvest surveys."{{Cite web|url=http://explorer.natureserve.org/servlet/NatureServe?sourceTemplate=tabular_report.wmt&loadTemplate=species_RptComprehensive.wmt&selectedReport=RptComprehensive.wmt&summaryView=tabular_report.wmt&elKey=132018&paging=home&save=true&startIndex=1&nextStartIndex=1&reset=false&offPageSelectedElKey=154772&offPageSelectedElType=species&offPageYesNo=true&post_processes=&radiobutton=radiobutton&selectedIndexes=154772&selectedIndexes=128434&selectedIndexes=142417&selectedIndexes=132944&selectedIndexes=130409&selectedIndexes=129890&selectedIndexes=958325&selectedIndexes=874071&selectedIndexes=129526&selectedIndexes=147231&selectedIndexes=159467&selectedIndexes=950194&selectedIndexes=161734&selectedIndexes=153955&selectedIndexes=132018&selectedIndexes=153385&selectedIndexes=159267&selectedIndexes=145514&selectedIndexes=149246&selectedIndexes=143261|title=Comprehensive Report Species -|website=explorer.natureserve.org|language=en|access-date=2018-04-14}}
