Critical reception

Sam Gazdziak from Engine 145 gave "Everywhere I Go" a thumbs-down, saying that it "sounds so familiar and commonplace that it’s pretty much impossible to stand out in a crowded radio playlist,"{{cite web |url=http://www.engine145.com/phil-vassar-everywhere-i-go/ |title=Phil Vassar — "Everywhere I Go" |author=Sam Gazdziak |date=2009-08-21 |work=Engine 145 |accessdate=2009-12-02 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20141218105744/http://www.engine145.com/phil-vassar-everywhere-i-go/ |archive-date=2014-12-18 |url-status=usurped }} while Bobby Peacock of Roughstock considered it similar in sound to Vassar's first album and said that it had an "interesting" structure.{{cite web |url=http://www.roughstock.com/blog/phil-vassar-everywhere-i-go- |title=Phil Vassar — "Everywhere I Go" |author=Bobby Peacock |date=2009-09-01 |work=Roughstock |accessdate=2009-12-02 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20100810232828/http://www.roughstock.com/blog/phil-vassar-everywhere-i-go- |archive-date=2010-08-10 |url-status=dead }}
