Exodus Fall is a 2011 American drama road film directed by Ankush Kohli and Chad Waterhouse, and starring Rosanna Arquette, Jesse James, Devon Graye, Dee Wallace, and Christopher Atkins.
Plot
Set in 1974, the film centers on three siblings from Texas — Kenneth (Jesse James), Charlotte (Adrien Finkel), and Dana Minor (Devon Graye) — who are left living with their abusive, alcoholic mother Marilyn (Rosanna Arquette) after their father's death. Marilyn commits Dana, who is autistic, to an institution, allowing doctors to perform medical experiments on him. Kenneth and Charlotte break their younger brother out of the asylum, and the three siblings set out on a road trip, intending to travel from Texas to their grandmother's home in Oregon. They are joined by a hippie named Travis (Alexander Carroll).{{cite web|url=http://www.slantmagazine.com/film/review/exodus-fall/5428|title=Exodus Fall|date=17 April 2011|accessdate=12 December 2013|work=Slant Magazine|author=Andrew Schenker}}{{cite web|last=Dargis|first=Manohla|title=Exodus-Fall (2011)|url=https://www.nytimes.com/movies/movie/465339/Exodus-Fall/overview|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20131216133804/http://www.nytimes.com/movies/movie/465339/Exodus-Fall/overview|url-status=dead|archive-date=16 December 2013|department=Movies & TV Dept.|work=The New York Times|date=2013|accessdate=27 December 2013}}{{cite news|last=Gold|first=Daniel M|title=Exodus Fall (2011)|url=https://www.nytimes.com/2011/04/22/movies/exodus-fall-by-ankush-kohli-and-chad-waterhouse-review.html|work=The New York Times|date=22 April 2011 |accessdate=27 December 2013}}{{cite web|last=Hardy|first=Earnest|title=Exodus Fall|url=http://www.laweekly.com/2011-04-07/film-tv/exodus-fall/|publisher=laweekly.com|accessdate=27 December 2013|archive-date=2013-12-27|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20131227231018/http://www.laweekly.com/2011-04-07/film-tv/exodus-fall/|url-status=dead}}{{cite web|last=Carpenter|first=Edwin L|title=Exodus Fall: Edited|url=http://www.dove.org/reviewpopup.asp?Unique_ID=8967|publisher=dove.org|accessdate=27 December 2013|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20131227222207/http://www.dove.org/reviewpopup.asp?Unique_ID=8967|archive-date=27 December 2013|url-status=dead}}{{cite web|last=Thomas|first=Kevin|title=Movie review: 'Exodus Fall'|url=https://www.latimes.com/entertainment/la-xpm-2011-apr-08-la-et-exodus-fall-20110408-story.html|work=Los Angeles Times|date=8 April 2011 |access-date=27 December 2013}}
