FER (gene)
{{Short description|Protein-coding gene in the species Homo sapiens}}
{{Infobox_gene}}
Proto-oncogene tyrosine-protein kinase FER is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the FER gene.{{cite web | title = Entrez Gene: FER fer (fps/fes related) tyrosine kinase (phosphoprotein NCP94)| url = https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?Db=gene&Cmd=ShowDetailView&TermToSearch=2241}}
Fer protein is a member of the FPS/FES family of nontransmembrane receptor tyrosine kinases. It regulates cell-cell adhesion and mediates signaling from the cell surface to the cytoskeleton via growth factor receptors.
