"Fall of X" is a 2023 relaunch of the X-Men line of American comic books published by Marvel Comics. It is the sequel to the "Destiny of X" publishing initiative, and is the final initiative in the Krakoan Age of the X-Men.{{Cite web |last=Schedeen |first=Jesse |date=2022-10-10 |title=Marvel Teases Ominous X-Men Crossover Dubbed 'Fall of X' {{!}} NYCC 2022 |url=https://www.ign.com/articles/marvel-comics-x-men-crossovers-sins-of-sinister-fall-of-x-2023 |access-date=2023-02-24 |website=IGN |language=en |archive-date=2023-03-20 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20230320185627/https://www.ign.com/articles/marvel-comics-x-men-crossovers-sins-of-sinister-fall-of-x-2023 |url-status=live }} The phase started with the third annual Hellfire Gala (July 2023) and culminated in the dual interconnected miniseries Fall of the House of X and Rise of the Powers of X (January 2024 – May 2024). The phase's final issue, X-Men #35 (legacy Uncanny X-Men #700) was released in June 2024. It is followed by line relaunch titled X-Men: From the Ashes.
During the Fall of X, mutantkind's unparalleled growth and prosperity on the island nation Krakoa was threatened by the human supremacist organization Orchis.{{Cite web |title=Everything Revealed About 'Fall of X' at MegaCon 2023 |url=https://www.marvel.com/articles/comics/fall-of-x-everything-revealed-at-megacon-2023 |access-date=2023-04-02 |website=Marvel Entertainment |archive-date=2023-04-01 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20230401211401/https://www.marvel.com/articles/comics/fall-of-x-everything-revealed-at-megacon-2023 |url-status=live }}

In May 2024, X-Men Group Editor Jordan D. White commented that the anthology collection "format was shelved" and there would not be compiled trade paperbacks for Destiny of X or Fall of X.{{Cite Instagram |postid=C6yvvm-rROL |user=cracksh0t |title=Before I found out that we were not planning to do DESTINY OF X compiled TPBs, I had already worked at putting the issues in order. A lot of factors went into making these orders—the story is the obvious and biggest one, but there were practical ones as well, both in terms of volume page count and also not wanting to have too many issues of one series in one single volume. I was bummed that these didn’t get to come out in this format. I think, in particular, this would have been the best way to experience Judgment Day in collected edition form. I didn’t bother to figure out how we would have collected the issues from Sins of Sinister through Uncanny 700, since the format was shelved. But I thought someone out there might have enjoyed seeing what these 20 volumes would have been. |first=Jordan D. |last=White |date=May 10, 2024 |access-date=June 10, 2024 |archive-url=https://ghostarchive.org/iarchive/instagram/cracksh0t/3364961851454329739 |archive-date=June 11, 2024 |url-status=live}}
