Gameplay

Similar to Family Table Tennis, players control a member of a family, including a mother, father, son (Billy), and daughter (Sarah), to play against another in a game of air hockey. The player can choose up to five settings, including a gymnasium, a forest park, a beach, an amusement park, and an arctic aquarium.{{cite web |last=Dillard |first=Corbie |title=Family Glide Hockey Coming To WiiWare |publisher=wiiware-world.com |date=2008-11-07 |accessdate=2009-01-05 |url=http://www.wiiware-world.com/news/2008/11/family_glide_hockey_coming_to_wiiware |archive-date=2009-01-22 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20090122233022/http://www.wiiware-world.com/news/2008/11/family_glide_hockey_coming_to_wiiware |url-status=live }}

The game also features three minigames that involve the player trying the slam the puck into the goal while faced with different objectives, such as hitting targets or solving math problems.

Reception

IGN summed up Family Glide Hockey as "a dull, awkwardly controlling air hockey game", but felt the minigames were marginally more fun than the core game.{{cite web|last=Harris|first=Craig|title=Family Glide Hockey Review|date=2009-01-20|access-date=2009-05-14|url=http://wii.ign.com/articles/878/878965p1.html|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20120729162117/http://wii.ign.com/articles/878/878965p1.html|archive-date=2012-07-29|url-status=dead}}
