Gameplay

The player controls Fast Eddie through a four-story building, collecting prizes while avoiding obstacles. The objective is to reach the top floor and claim the final prize by jumping over the High-Top Sneaker after gathering nine prizes. The player uses a joystick to move Eddie horizontally and vertically, and a button to make him jump.{{Cite book |last=Weiss |first=Brett |url=https://www.google.com/books/edition/Classic_Home_Video_Games_1972_1984/BzxTtml8Jq4C?hl=en&gbpv=1&dq=fast+eddie+video+game&pg=PA58&printsec=frontcover |title=Classic Home Video Games, 1972-1984: A Complete Reference Guide |date=2011-12-20 |publisher=McFarland |isbn=978-0-7864-8755-4 |pages=58 |language=en}} The game features eight variations with different difficulty levels, with the goal of progressing through all of them.

Reception

Brett Weiss, in Classic Home Video Games, 1972-1984: A Complete Reference Guide praised the game, writing that "Though not as deep or as distinctive as Space Panic or Mr. Do!'s Castle, Fast Eddie is an entertaining game that will keep gamers on their toes." The game's sound design has been described as simplistic and "paradigmatic" 8-bit music.{{Cite book |last=Moormann |first=Peter |url=https://www.google.com/books/edition/Music_and_Game/JYfROhvXMPAC?hl=en&gbpv=1&dq=fast+eddie+video+game&pg=PA81&printsec=frontcover |title=Music and Game: Perspectives on a Popular Alliance |date=2012-08-11 |publisher=Springer Science & Business Media |isbn=978-3-531-18913-0 |pages=81 |language=en}}
