Summary
{{Non-free use rationale 2
|Description = This photograph shows the Main Terminal (now Terminal 1) of Lambert Airport before the fourth gable was added in 1965. The original concourses and airport infrastructure are also visible.
|Source = Original publication: St. Louis Post-Dispatch

|Author = Lou Phillips
|Article = St. Louis Lambert International Airport
|Purpose = This file will be used in the "1945–1982: Post World War II expansion; Ozark Airlines hub" section of the article, specifically to show the look of Terminal 1 as it originally appeared. This includes the original three domed gables of the terminal, the original concourses of the terminal, the original loading/unloading area of the terminal, the original ramp/taxiways/runways, and the original parking lots of the terminal. While much newer photographs of the Terminal do exist (including on the article itself), they do not help to showcase the terminal in a purely historical context. Furthermore, while there are a fair number of more recent photographs on the article, there is a profound lack of historical photos, which I believe is to the detriment of the article. This one in particular will help, as it focuses on the airport itself and is not a historical airline photo.
|Replaceability = It would be very difficult if not impossible to replicate the same effect by illustrating the scene (nor do I believe such an illustration already exists nor could one be made easily). A new photograph CANNOT be produced as the one in question was made more than 53 years ago before expansion of the terminal.
|Minimality = Only a single instance of this file will be used on the St. Louis Lambert International Airport page to demonstrate the history of the airport in the "1945–1982: Post World War II expansion; Ozark Airlines hub" section.
|Commercial = I believe the photographer has passed away, as a thorough background check failed to produce any relevant contact information nor can they be contacted through the Post-Dispatch. Furthermore, I do not believe it will harm any remaining family members (should they exist) nor the Post-Dispatch, as the image is freely available to view on the website and from an article old enough and specific enough that I do not believe it would seen unless someone specifically sought out the information/article in question, as one would do for use on a website such as Wikipedia. The original purpose of the image was for purely journalistic purposes.
