Summary

{{Information

|Description=Four pedigrees relevant to the ancestry of Leod, ancestor of the MacLeods. The first is from Dubhaltach MacFhirbhisigh's 17th century pedigree of the Macleans; the second is a combination of a MacLeod and Nicolson pedigrees from the Royal Irish Academy (RIA); the third is a MacLeod pedigree from about the late 17th century. The Kilbride MS possibly dates to 1540, though it is no longer in existence; one transcription of it gave Leod's father as Oloig, but this was later amended to Oloig. Note that the names Ealga and Christiona are feminine names.
