Firby is a village in the civil parish of Westow, in North Yorkshire, England, {{convert|4|mi|0}} south west of Malton.

Firby was historically a township in the parish of Westow{{cite web|url=https://visionofbritain.org.uk/place/12583|title=History of Firby, in Ryedale and East Riding|publisher=A Vision of Britain through Time|accessdate=8 December 2023}} in the East Riding of Yorkshire.[https://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/YKS/ERY/Westow GENUKI website. East Riding of Yorkshire.] It became a separate civil parish in 1866. From 1974 to 2023 it was part of the district of Ryedale, it is now administered by the unitary North Yorkshire Council.
