Forest parks of Scotland

Forest parks are areas of forest managed by Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) that are managed for multiple benefits, with an emphasis on recreation facilities for visitors.{{cite web|url=https://www.nature.scot/professional-advice/safeguarding-protected-areas-and-species/protected-areas/national-designations/other-national-designations|title=Other national designations |publisher=Scottish Natural Heritage|accessdate=2018-05-03}} There are currently six forest parks in Scotland.{{cite web|url=https://forestryandland.gov.scot/visit/forest-parks|title=Forest Parks|publisher=Forestry and Land Scotland|accessdate=2019-04-02}}

The first forest park was the Argyll Forest Park, on the Cowal peninsula, which was established in 1935. The largest is the Galloway Forest Park, at {{convert|774|km2|mi2}}.
