Franca Evangelisti (born 6 April 1935) is an Italian lyricist and singer.

Life and career

Born in Rome, Evangelisti studied singing with composer {{Interlanguage link|Lino Benedetto|it}}.{{cite book |last1=Giannelli|first1=Enzo|editor1-last=Castaldo |editor1-first=Gino |title=Dizionario della canzone italiana |date=1990 |publisher=Curcio |pages=611 |chapter=Evangelisti, Franca}} In the second half of the 1950s, she started her professional career as a singer with the stage name Evy Angeli.{{cite book|first=Eddy|last=Anselmi|title=Festival di Sanremo: almanacco illustrato della canzone italiana|year=2009 |publisher=Panini|isbn=978-8863462296|page=696|chapter=Franca Evangelisti}} She was a vocalist in various orchestras, touring extensively, and also performing several times on American television.
