Francis Joseph Coquelin ({{IPA|fr|fʁɑ̃sis kɔklɛ̃}}; born 13 May 1991) is a French professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Ligue 1 club Nantes. Club career

On 22 July 2008, Coquelin joined Arsenal from Stade Lavallois following a successful trial with the club. Coquelin opted for a move to Lorient on a loan deal that saw him play his football in France throughout the 2010–11 season. Without taking part in any matches for Arsenal during the first three months of season 2014–15, Coquelin joined Championship side Charlton Athletic on 3 November 2014 for a month's loan. Coquelin is a France youth international having earned caps for the under-17s, under-18s, under-19s, under-20s and under-21s.
