Political career

At the 2017 legislative election, Guevara was the first alternate candidate in the "Frente Todos" alliance, the Justicialist Party list. Following the 2019 general election, deputy Daniela Castro (who had run as the second candidate in the Frente Todos list) resigned from her position; with the other women in the list declining the position (as per the 2017 Gender Parity Law), Guevara assumed the position in Castro's place. He took office on 19 December 2019.{{cite web|url=https://www.tiempodesanjuan.com/politica/2019/12/19/en-una-jornada-agitada-en-el-congreso-juro-el-nuevo-diputado-nacional-sanjuanino-274255.html|work=Tiempo de San Juan|title=En una jornada agitada en el Congreso, juró el nuevo diputado nacional sanjuanino|date=19 December 2019|access-date=15 August 2021|language=es}} He formed part of the Frente de Todos parliamentary bloc.{{cite web|url=https://www.pagina12.com.ar/237442-juraron-los-nuevos-diputados|work=Página/12|title=Juraron los nuevos diputados|date=19 December 2019|access-date=3 August 2021|language=es}} At age 27, Guevara became the youngest male congressman in the 2019–2021 legislative term.{{cite web|url=https://www.lanacion.com.ar/politica/diputados-sub-35-jovenes-congreso-frente-todos-nid2334856/|work=La Nación|title=Diputados sub-35: quiénes son y cómo piensan los más jóvenes del Congreso|date=18 February 2020|access-date=15 August 2021|language=es|last=Frydman|first=Daniel}}
