Francisco Pavón Barahona (born 9 January 1980) is a Spanish former footballer who played as a centre-back.

His name became associated with the Los Galácticos policy when Real Madrid – where he spent most of his professional career – president Florentino Pérez promised to build a team full of Zidanes and Pavones – expensive high-profile recruits like Zinedine Zidane and youth team graduates like Pavón.{{cite news|url=https://www.thetimes.com/sport/football/article/real-madrid-compiling-a-new-galaxy-of-superstars-9cgm327lc9q|title=Real Madrid compiling a new galaxy of superstars|newspaper=The Times|first=Gabriele|last=Marcotti|date=11 June 2009|access-date=18 November 2021}}{{cite news|url=http://deportes.elpais.com/deportes/2004/11/19/actualidad/1100852514_850215.html|title='Zidanes y Pavones' sí funciona en el Camp Nou|trans-title='Zidanes and Pavones' does work at the Camp Nou|newspaper=El País|language=es|date=19 November 2004|access-date=28 June 2013}}

Over nine seasons, Pavón amassed La Liga totals of 125 matches and three goals, with his main club and Zaragoza.
