The Free Hasakah Forces ({{langx|ar|سرية قوات الحسكة الحرة|sariat quaat alhasakat alhura}}) is a militant organization active in the Hasakah Governorate, Syria.
History
{{As of|2025}}, the organization is led by Obaida al-Haskawi, supposedly its founder. Following a similar statement by the Ahrar al-Jazeera Brigade, on 14 April 2025 he threatened tribal chiefs who collaborated with the Syrian Democratic Forces, giving them 10 days to desert from the SDF Umbrella Organization.{{Cite news |date=15 April 2025 |title=Iran Update, April 15, 2025 |url=https://www.understandingwar.org/backgrounder/iran-update-april-15-2025 |access-date=10 May 2025 |publisher=Institute for the Study of War |language=en |quote=There appear to be emerging localized formations in Hasakah Province, northeastern Syria, that seek to undermine the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). A group called the Free Hasakah Forces released a statement on April 14 urging Arab tribal leaders to distance themselves from the SDF. The group threatened to assassinate four tribal leaders who they claim have cooperated with the SDF and urged others to defect from the SDF. This group's statement closely mirrors a recent statement from another anti-SDF group called the Ahrar al Jazeera Brigade. The Ahrar al Jazeera Brigade claimed that it assassinated an alleged SDF informant in Qamishli, Hasakah Province, on April 13. Both groups included the Syrian revolutionary flag in their statements, which suggests that the groups likely do not oppose the Syrian transitional government. The SDF has historically relied on support from Arab tribal networks to maintain its presence in areas under its control and to conduct anti-ISIS operations. Continued threats against pro-SDF tribal leaders in Hasakah Province could cause these leaders to reduce support for the SDF, which would in turn likely undermine SDF influence in the area.}}{{Cite web |title=مجموعة تطلق على نفسها "سرية الحسكة الحرة" تهدد شيوخ العشائر المتعاونين مع قسد بالتصفية |url=https://web.archive.org/web/20250418032928/https://www.kurdstreet.com/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%85%D9%88%D8%B9%D8%A9-%D8%AA%D8%B7%D9%84%D9%82-%D8%B9%D9%84%D9%89-%D9%86%D9%81%D8%B3%D9%87%D8%A7-%D8%B3%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%A9-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AD%D8%B3%D9%83%D8%A9-%D8%A7%D9%84/ |access-date=10 May 2025 |website=Kurdstreet |language=ar}}{{Cite web |title=مجموعة تطلق على نفسها سرية الحسكة الحرة تهدد شيوخ العشائر المتعاونين مع قسد بالتصفية عبر |url=https://nabd.com/s/153580991-dd85bc/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%85%D9%88%D8%B9%D8%A9-%D8%AA%D8%B7%D9%84%D9%82-%D8%B9%D9%84%D9%89-%D9%86%D9%81%D8%B3%D9%87%D8%A7-%D8%B3%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%A9-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AD%D8%B3%D9%83%D8%A9-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AD%D8%B1%D8%A9-%D8%AA%D9%87%D8%AF%D8%AF-%D8%B4%D9%8A%D9%88%D8%AE-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D8%B4%D8%A7%D8%A6%D8%B1-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%AA%D8%B9%D8%A7%D9%88%D9%86%D9%8A%D9%86-%D9%85%D8%B9-%D9%82%D8%B3%D8%AF-%D8%A8%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AA%D8%B5%D9%81%D9%8A%D8%A9-%D8%B9%D8%A8%D8%B1 |access-date=10 May 2025 |website=Nabd |language=ar}}
