Fujii-dera (藤井寺) is a Zen Buddhist temple in Japan. History

In 815, Kūkai visited the area and built a temple to house a statue of Yakushi Nyorai.{{Cite web |title=A challenging day hike from Fujii-dera to Shōsan-ji|url=https://henro.co/fujii-dera-shosan-ji-temples/ |access-date=June 30, 2024 |website=henro.co|language=en}} The nearby mountains were ravaged by the fires during the Tenshō period.{{Cite web |title=Kongouzan Ichijyouin Fujiidera|url=https://88shikokuhenro.jp/en/kongouzan-ichijyouin-fujiidera/ |access-date=June 30, 2024 |website=88shikokuhenro.jp|language=en}} In 1832, a fire destroyed most of the temple, the current building were finished in 1860. Yakushi Nyorai

A statue of Yakushi Nyorai in the temple is known for protection from disasters.
