Probable G-protein coupled receptor 162 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the GPR162 gene.{{cite journal |vauthors=Gloriam DE, Schioth HB, Fredriksson R | title = Nine new human Rhodopsin family G-protein coupled receptors: identification, sequence characterisation and evolutionary relationship | journal = Biochim Biophys Acta | volume = 1722 | issue = 3 | pages = 235–46 |date=Apr 2005 | pmid = 15777626 | doi = 10.1016/j.bbagen.2004.12.001 }}{{cite web | title = Entrez Gene: GPR162 G protein-coupled receptor 162| url = https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?Db=gene&Cmd=ShowDetailView&TermToSearch=27239}}

This gene was identified upon genomic analysis of a gene-dense region at human chromosome 12p13. It appears to be mainly expressed in the brain; however, its function is not known. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.{{cite web | title = Entrez Gene: GPR162 G protein-coupled receptor 162| url = https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?Db=gene&Cmd=ShowDetailView&TermToSearch=27239}}
