Gameren is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of Zaltbommel, and lies about {{convert|14|km|abbr=on}} northwest of 's-Hertogenbosch.

Gameren was a separate municipality until 1955, when it was merged with Kerkwijk.{{Repertorium Nederlandse Gemeenten}}

History

The village was first mentioned in 1146 as Gamberem, and means "settlement on the Gamber (river)".{{cite web|url=https://etymologiebank.nl/trefwoord/gameren |title=Gameren - (geografische naam) |website=Etymologiebank |access-date=25 March 2022 |language=nl |quote=1031 references was a forgery}} Gameren developed into a stretched out esdorp along the Waal. In 2014, they opened their own church building without approximately 350 seats.
