The Gan Israel Camping Network ({{Langx|he|גַּן יִשְׂרָאֵל}}, {{small|lit.}} 'Garden of Israel') is a group of Chabad-Lubavitch summer camps. History
The first Chabad-affiliated summer camp was a girls' overnight camp, Camp Emunah, in Greenfield Park, New York (where it still located), founded in 1953 by Rabbi Jacob J. Hecht. In 1956, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Schneerson, directed some young men by the name of Rabbi Moshe Lazar, Rabbi Yossi Weinbaum And Rabbi Shemtov to open a parallel boys' overnight camp under the auspices of the Merkos L'Inyonei Chinuch organization.{{Cite web|title=The Beginning of Camp|url=https://www.chabad.org/therebbe/livingtorah/player_cdo/aid/3002755/jewish/The-Beginning-of-Camp.htm|access-date=July 19, 2021|website=Chabad.org}}{{Cite web|date=2021-07-15|title=When the Head Counselor Passed Out|url=https://collive.com/when-the-head-counselor-passed-out/|access-date=2021-07-19|website=COLlive|language=en-US}} The young men chose the name Gan Yisroel ("Garden of Israel") for this camp and went to the Rebbe for approval, after the founder of Chassidism, Rabbi Israel Baal Shem Tov. Camp Gan Israel moved to its current location in Parksville, New York in 1969.

Other branches of Gan Israel overnight camps were founded near Montreal
(1958, in Labelle, Quebec), London ({{circa|1960}}), Detroit (1961, in Kalkaska Township, Michigan), Melbourne (1960s), Florida (2007), Kfar Tzvi Sitrin (2004), Toronto (2012), and others. In addition, several hundred Gan Israel day camps exist around the world.
Activities

Many camps offer cyber art, wilderness survival, tennis, karate, and mountain biking.
