Imlach has covered the Tour de France since 1990, formerly on Channel 4, transferring to ITV in 2001 when the station bought the television rights to the cycle race.{{cite web|url=http://www.cyclingweekly.com/news/latest-news/the-big-interview-gary-imlach-88782|title=The Big Interview: Gary Imlach|work=Cycling Weekly|first=Lionel|last=Birnie|date=20 September 2007|access-date=9 December 2017}}
