Personal life

He was also arrested in 2023 for driving with a suspended license.{{Cite web |title=Rising Country Star Gavin Adcock Arrested for Alleged Reckless Driving and Violating Open Container Law |url=https://people.com/rising-country-star-gavin-adcock-arrested-alleged-reckless-driving-violating-open-container-law-11740672 |access-date=2025-06-16 |website=People.com |language=en}}
In June 2025, Adcock criticized Beyoncé during a concert for her album Cowboy Carter topping the country charts, claiming it “ain’t country music” and arguing that lifelong country artists shouldn’t have to compete with pop stars.{{Cite web |last=Surmonte |first=Connor |date=2025-07-01 |title=Gavin Adcock trashes Beyoncé and her ‘Cowboy Carter’ album |url=https://nypost.com/2025/06/30/entertainment/gavin-adcock-trashes-beyonce-and-her-cowboy-carter-album/ |access-date=2025-07-05 |language=en-US}}{{Cite web |title=Country singer Gavin Adcock slams Beyoncé’s 'Cowboy Carter': 'That s--- ain’t country' |url=https://ew.com/country-singer-gavin-adcock-slams-beyonce-chart-topping-cowboy-carter-11764544 |access-date=2025-07-05 |website=EW.com |language=en}} His comments sparked debate over genre boundaries and inclusivity. Beyoncé did not respond publicly, while Adcock later defended his remarks on social media, saying he respected her but stood by his views on country music authenticity.{{Cite web |date=2025-07-01 |title=Country Music Star Blasts Beyoncé After Flaming Her Onstage |url=https://www.thedailybeast.com/country-music-star-gavin-adcock-blasts-beyonce-after-flaming-her-onstage/ |access-date=2025-07-05 |website=The Daily Beast |language=en}}
