Gavin Thomas Lux (born November 23, 1997) is an American professional baseball second baseman and Left fielder for the Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Lux played baseball for Indian Trail High School and Academy in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He was selected by the Dodgers in the first round of the 2016 MLB draft and made his MLB debut in 2019. As a member of the Dodgers, he won the 2024 World Series.

Early life

Lux attended Indian Trail High School and Academy in Kenosha, Wisconsin. In 2021, Lux hit .242 with seven homers and 46 RBIs in 102 games. Lux was expected to become the Dodgers starting shortstop for the 2023 season.
