Gentiana sino-ornata, the showy Chinese gentian, is a species of flowering plant in the family Gentianaceae, native to western China and Tibet. It is a low-growing semi-evergreen perennial growing to {{convert|5|-|7|cm|0|abbr=on}} tall, with multiple prostrate stems {{convert|15|-|30|cm|0|abbr=on}} long, bearing single trumpet-shaped flowers of a pure blue with a white- and green-striped throat, in autumn.{{cite book|title=RHS A-Z encyclopedia of garden plants|year=2008|publisher=Dorling Kindersley|location=United Kingdom|isbn=978-1405332965|pages=1136}}
In cultivation it is hardy down to {{convert|-10 |C|F|abbr=on}}, but requires a well-drained soil with an acid or neutral pH. It is suitable for growing in a rock or alpine garden.
