Career

=High school=

Price was named to the Big XII All-Region Super Team as punter. His junior year, he averaged 45.6 yards per punt, which dropped to 39.5 yards per punt his senior year because of an ankle injury. He set a school record with his career-long 74 yard punt, and also played free safety on defense with 101 stops and two interceptions. He was also a member of both the National Honor Society and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Price had seen little playing time as reserve punter at Notre Dame, playing in only two games his sophomore year and seeing no action both his freshman and junior years. In his senior year however, he took over for D.J. Fitzpatrick, and had high expectations.{{cite magazine | url = http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/ncaa/specials/preview/2006/teams/ind/notre.dame.html | magazine = Sports Illustrated | title = 2006 Preview: Notre Dame Football | archiveurl = https://web.archive.org/web/20121024004851/http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/ncaa/specials/preview/2006/teams/ind/notre.dame.html | archivedate = October 24, 2012}} He was ranked fifth in the NCAA in punting, thanks in part to a strong performance against Penn State in a 41–17 victory.[https://www.usatoday.com/sports/scores106/106252/NCAAF472481.htm USA Today] Penn St. 17, Notre Dame 41[https://www.nytimes.com/2006/09/10/sports/ncaafootball/10irish.html?fta=y New York Times], "Irish Put Everything Together and Roll Over Penn State" JOE LAPOINTE September 10, 2006 For the 2006 season, Price had an average of 48 yards per punt, including a career-long 62-yard kick.
