Geography
The Glenamoy River rises from its source at Glencalry and Barroosky, flowing for {{convert|23|km||abbr=}}.{{Cite web|title=the-glenamoy-river|url=http://glenamoyangling.com/page1.html|access-date=2020-12-13|website=glenamoyangling.com}} The river flows west through several villages including Glenamoy, reaching Gortacragher, where it meets the Muingnabo River to form Sruwaddacon Bay. The length of the Glenamoy River is 14 km2.

The area surrounding the river contains peatland and farms. The river flows through the Slieve Fyagh Bog and Glenamoy Bog Complex protected areas. Amenities
